I’m no musician but music is one of my favorite things that I enjoy as much as painting and drawing. I always have music playing in my studio whenever I am painting, and that can be jazz, rock, classical, or Christian worship. Music is one of my muses, I always have a song or a tune in my mind. And another of my muses is the human form (can’t seem to get it out of my compositions).
So there is no surprise that I would create a painting that combines both, my love of music and my love of the human form.

This 16×20-inch oil painting on a wood panel captures an intimate fusion of body and melody. A nude figure tenderly embraces a bass guitar, her posture exuding vulnerability and connection—an emotional symphony painted with rich, expressive brushstrokes. The warmth of the wood panel enhances the organic textures, bringing depth and resonance to the piece.
A tribute to the soulful power of music and the raw beauty of human form, “Embracing the Lower Notes” invites the viewer into a world where sound and touch become one. It is perfect for art lovers, musicians, and collectors seeking a bold yet poetic statement piece.
Let this painting strike a chord in your space—where passion meets rhythm, and art sings.
